We want to say thank you to all of you who have been praying for our language learning! On Monday morning we took our latest round of exams. These were the longest exams we have had so far, with about 30 minutes of speaking and listening and close to an hour of reading and writing in Khmer script. We are excited to say that we passed with flying colors.

According to the international scale our school uses to evaluate our learning, we are right at or right past "Speaking Intermediate Mid." We are also making big progress with reading and writing. We even read three small kids books this module. While we have a long way still to go with this language, it feels good to hit these milestones and be making progress.

What also feels good is that, while many folks are headed back to school in the States, we now have a small "summer break." It's an understatement to say that our brains have been feeling increasingly saturated, so we are very excited to have some time away from the classroom to catch up on office work, visit the countryside and let our brains recuperate for a bit.

When we return to class after our break, we will have three more modules left in order to complete the eight modules that our school offers. We are excited to be more than halfway finished with this program.

Thank you for your encouragement!
