In our current module in language school, our teachers are using famous Cambodian people to teach us new vocabulary and grammar. (We just learned today we will be practicing our speaking skills by researching and giving a presentation on a famous Cambodian all in Khmer next Monday!)

One of the people we have learned about is Cambodian singer Sinn Sisamouth. He was a popular singer in pre-Khmer Rouge Camdodia, and while he was killed by the Khmer Rouge in 1976, his music is still extremely popular today. We find his blend of traditional Khmer music and 70's style rock and roll to be a catchy mix. Check out one of his most popular songs below:
