During the month of December our language school had a couple of breaks for holidays. We took the opportunity to do a bit of traveling, both out of necessity and for pleasure, and wanted to share some of our travels around the area. First up: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Because of a mix up when we first arrived in Cambodia, we needed to leave the country and re-enter to reset our visas. We had a long weekend without classes, so we decided to take a bus from Phnom Penh to the nearest city in a neighboring country. The bus trip was cheap, easy and long. We enjoyed seeing a bit of countryside in both Cambodia and Vietnam, learning more about the Vietnam War, which has had so much influence on this part of the world, and eating a lot of tasty Vietnamese food.
